Making bread

Calani wanted to know how bread was made so we read the story 'The Little Red hen' and made bread. 
We had tried some bread and thought that bread was made from flour, salt and sugar. We found out that bread also had water and yeast in it.

We made a word cloud of all the words we could think of for our bread making.

Bread Recipe 

2 cups of warm water

2 tsp yeast

1 tbsp of oil

2 tsp salt

4 cups of high grade flour.

Measure the water into a bowl. Sprinkle the yeast over the water then stir in. Then add the oil and salt. Add the flour  and mix in. Cover the bowl and stand in a warm place until the dough has doubled in size (15 - 20 mins). Put dough onto a floured board and roll into balls. Leave to stand for 15 mins to rise again. Bake in oven at 200 degrees for 15-20 mins.
