Rearranging of the Class
Today we decided to change our class around. While we did it we had to think about the habits of mind ' managing our impulistivity', 'working interdependently' we also need to apply our past knowledge to this task. After we had finished we realised that where we had put some of the class furniture would not work. So we do have a few things to work on.

Statistics
This term in maths we are learning about Statistics. We are first learning to sort different objects. We now that objects can be sorted according to colour and shape. This week we have sorted shapes in to groups according to what colour they are. We also sorted them according to what shape they are.
Today we were each given a small bag of different coloured and shaped lollies. We had to first sort them then we had to explain to Mrs Robertson why we sorted them into the groups. Once we had we were allowed to eat them.

The Daily Five
Today Mrs Robertson began to introduce us to the daily five. This is 5 activities that we do independently. The 5 activities are: Read to yourself, read to someone, work on writing, listen to reading, word work. Today we learnt about reading to our self.
When we read to our self we have to find a place by our self, began to read quickly, stay in the same spot and read quietly. We are also building stamina, which means that we are learning to read for a longer time. We think that the daily five is going to help us become better readers and writers.
