Gingerbread graph
When we ate our gingerbread men we looked at which part we ate first. We made a graph to show which is the part of the gingerbread man that gets eaten first.
We found out that most people start by eating their gingerbread mans head first.
Which part do you start with?

Trip to the Hawkes Bay
This weekend I took Piata away to Hawkes Bay for the weekend. Piata enjoyed the trip sitting in the back of the car with Mrs Vincent. We then went to Te Mata peak. we drove up a very step hill. From the top you can see all of Hawkes Bay. Piata came shopping with us but got pretty tied so he had to take a rest. He had a great weekend away. Since being home he has been resting and packing his bag to go to Melbourne, Australia with Ms Whitwell.

Gingerbread Men
Last Thursday we made gingerbread Men. We all helped to put in the ingredients and help mix it together. Then each of us cut out a gingerbread man and put on eyes and a nose. We had fun making our gingerbread men. You may like to make some in the holidays.
This is the recipe that we used:
Gingerbread Men
250g butter at room temperature
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup golden syrup
2 egg yolks
5 cups plain flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tbsp ginger
Place the butter, sugar and golden syrup and egg yolks into a bowl. Using an electric mixer beat until pale and creamy. sift flour, baking soda and ginger together. using your hands bring the dough together. Turn onto floured surface and knead until smooth. Roll out and cut shapes, Place onto lined baking tray. bake for 12 -15 Min's at 180 degrees. When cool decorate then eat.
We hope that you enjoyed making and eating them as much as we did.
