Wearable Arts

For the past week we have been getting ready for our school wearable arts show. We had to make our costumes, practice our song, and practice going on stage. Tonight was the show. We were very excited and we thought we looked fantastic as shining sun's.

Well done Room 12. You were fantastic.

Cat in the hat

Last week we read 'The cat in the hat' by Dr Seuss. We did a brainstorm of what the cat in the hat is like, we made our own cat in the hats ans we wrote stories about what we would do if the cat and the hat came to our house.

Room 12 have been working really hard. Look at all of the people who have recently received certificates for there hard working.

Today in junior assembly Gian and Caleb both received certificates:
Gian got his for working hard in writing. He has been sounding out new words and using words he already knows. Keep up the good work Gian
Caleb received his certificate for making connections between reading and writing. Well done Caleb.

In Room 12 we having been working hard on Managing ourselves. Because we doing so well we got to have a play on one of the seniors playground.

Super Moon

Tonight if you have a look at the moon you will see a super moon.A super moon is when the moon is at or near its closest approach to Earth.It will be as much as 14 per cent bigger and 30 per cent brighter than other full moons of 2012.

Slime

For discovery Mrs Robertson made us slime. We did not have a lot of time to play with it but we had fun. We then talked about what it smelt, looked and felt like. Gian and Rajveet wrote great stories about our bubble mix.
