After viewing the claymations from our quad blogging buddies  from Mission Heights Primary School in Auckland  we decided that we would like to try our own. He is Jevyn's and Zaydin's.

The answer to last weeks big question is the  Mosquito. The mosquito carry and transfer malaria which result in the death of more than 2 million people a year.

Counting to 20

Keira and Zaydin have been working on recognizing numbers to 20 and counting a set of objects to 20. They are both stars at this now. 

Buddy Reading

Today the monkeys had to read to a buddy as part of our daily five rotations. Cody and Blake showed how fantastic they are at buddy reading. Take a look at how they are sitting closely together and the book is between them. Well done boys.

Nouns

We have been learning what a noun is. We know a noun is a place, person or thing. We know that we need to have a noun when we are writing a sentence. Look at the nouns we could name.

week 2 Big Question

Answer to big question

Well done Tayla, Cody and Zara for answering last weeks big Question. The answer to last weeks big question is the Sloth. Ever heard someone called a “sloth” or “slow as a sloth” because they move really slowly? That’s because the sloth — especially the three-toed sloth — is the slowest animal around. Their legs and feet are shaped to hang from trees, so it’s actually hard for sloths to walk on the ground. They can’t run or stand upright on their feet. It would take a sloth nearly a month to walk one mile! Sloths don’t do much walking on the ground, though — they spend their lives hanging upside down in trees. They eat, sleep, and even have babies upside down!

Week 1 Big Question

Fantastic Writing

Today we wrote about something that we did in the school holidays. What fantastic writing we all did. Some of us are trying really hard to write the first sounds of words we don't know while others are trying to write all of the sounds we can hear. Take a look at our fantastic writing.

Photo Shoot

Even though it was the school holidays , on Friday we  had a photo shoot  down at the house that has all of the flags of the countries that are competing in the world cup rugby. This is for an add campaign  for the ANZ bank and the world cup rugby. We think this is pretty exciting. The photos are going to be used for posters which are going in the ANZ bank and they took pictures for bill boards which are going to be used at the airports.
